Disability Act compliance solution for download
Organisations looking to audit their capabilities for compliance in relation to customer access to goods and services within the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) can now download an interactive learning programme on the subject.
Echelon Learning is offering the programme via its site at learningmatters.com/.
Echelon’s DDA programme helps organisations to ensure that all their employees understand the Act and have the skills to meet the needs of customers with disabilities.
The Act aims to end the discrimination facing many disabled people providing rights in areas of:
-
access to goods, facilities and services
-
employment
-
buying or renting land or property
The Act has come into force in increments since 1996; the final rights of access came into force on at the beginning of this month (October 2004).
Launched in 2000, learningmatters.com/ hosts 1,300 management soft skill modules, and over 700 bite-size chunks of business information.
Over the past three years, users from over 50 countries downloaded over 17000 information modules from the site.
